My home in the US was broken into
My home in Ohio was broken into over the weekend. The french door was removed by them popping out the entire frame, and the glass wasn’t broken. The neighbors saw and called the police. The police went into my home and nobody was there. They didn’t indicate that anything was apparently stolen. It happened around 8:30 PM. They went around the back to avoid the front. The lights were on, and my wife’s car is in the driveway. Why would someone burglarize a home under those conditions, knowing the person would likely be home? Wouldn’t they come during the day or late at night? I have multiple surveillance cameras they boldly walked by. They weren’t deterred. Most burglars don’t do that. They bolt when they see surveillance cameras. This was someone who either didn’t care if they were seen or had a higher objective.
This was the same time many people on social media who opposed the Ukraine War were SWATT’d. Could the two be connected? Was this a burglary or an assassination attempt? The timing didn’t make sense. Thankfully my neighbors are extremely aware and nothing gets past them. They called the cops and said they saw someone at my house. The police called and asked me if it was me. I said “no.” Did they send a Ukrainian hit team? Was it a burglar? This is the most likely reason, but since I am not able to check, I don’t know. I am going to have a friend check it for me. The invaders went through the bedroom door. Good thing for them I wasn’t there and out of the country, because they would have been shot to death immediately upon entry. There was a large bookshelf in front of the door, and it would have been extremely difficult for them to move that and get in without considerable effort. If I were home in the other room I would have heard it and responded immediately.
Update: After I posted this, someone shot several rounds outside my home here in Central America.
